According to the difference of power and current, it can be divided into ordinary power graphite electrode, high power graphite electrode and ultra high power graphite electrode. Glassy Carbon Electrode

When the stripping voltammetry is carried out within the research range of a more positive potential, a glassy carbon electrode can be used. The glassy carbon electrode has a high hydrogen overpotential, good conductive material performance, strong chemical resistance, and a smooth surface that is not easy to adhere to gas and dirt. The original electrode used as a modified working electrode and a reaction of oxidation technology reduction can be measured. 

The first step of solid electrode surface treatment is mechanical grinding and polishing to mirror level, especially when the electrode surface has an inert layer or a very strong adsorption layer, it must be treated by mechanical or heating methods.

After each polishing, first clean the surface dirt, then clean it in an ultrasonic water bath, and repeat it three times in 2 to 3 minutes, each time. Finally, use 1:1 ethanol, 1:1 nitric acid and distilled water for ultrasonic cleaning. In the 0.5-1mol/lh2so4 solution, the electrode is activated by cyclic voltammetry in the scanning range of 1.0-1.0 v, and the scanning is repeated until a stable cyclic voltammogram is obtained.
